Before you apply

registering with a personal MSA instead of a work or school account, because exam records can be lost if you later leave an organization.

• Make sure your legal first and last name on your certification profile exactly matches your

government-issued ID. This matters for both online and test-center exams.

• Decide whether you want to test online or at a local Pearson VUE test center. Online testing is flexible,

but your computer and room must pass security checks. A test center is usually simpler if you do not want to handle system checks or room rules.

• Keep a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID ready. A passport is safest if your local ID does not

Sign in with your Microsoft account

• Write custom instructions for an agent and test whether the output follows the rules.

• Design a safe workflow where the agent can create a branch and pull request but cannot merge without

human review.

• Write an MCP server/tool access plan that includes permissions, allow lists, and blocked actions.

• Create an evaluation checklist for agent output: correctness, security, test results, traceability, and

maintainability.

• Simulate a failed agent run and document the root cause: reasoning issue, bad tool use, missing context,

or environment constraint.

• Design a multi-agent workflow with clear roles and handoff artifacts.

• Write guardrails for risky actions such as deleting files, changing secrets, deploying, or modifying

accountability, guardrails, and when to involve a human.

• During beta, do not expect an instant score report. Plan your content or announcement only after official

results are released.

Common mistakes to avoid

• Registering with a work or school account when you may leave that organization later.

• Using a profile name that does not exactly match your ID.

• Thinking this is only a Copilot exam. GH-600 is broader: agent architecture, MCP, memory, evaluation,

orchestration, and guardrails.

• Booking an online exam without running the system pre-check or checking your room setup.

• Studying only definitions instead of practicing real agent workflow decisions.
